Press Release – L’antifest

On March 3, 2017 was held a Festival, called L’Antifest, organized by Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi of LaSalle jointly with Destination Travail of the Southwest Montréal Island area.

Despite the biting cold by the River at 23 degrees Celsius, several young people, volunteers, visitors and partners came to dance and enjoy the rhythms of the music animated by two invited DJs.

According to Juli Lefebvre, an active counselor and member of the organizing committee of the event, “L’ANTIFEST is an event created to promote healthy lifestyles for young people between the ages of 11 and 24 in the borough of LaSalle. Under the theme “anti” for anti-bad lifestyle, including pollution, junk food and manipulative advertisements, the anti- festival encourages young people to join, among others, the LaSalle tobacco-free movement that begun in September 2016. A gathering, training and entertaining event ”.

Lindsay Internationale joined as a sponsor by offering more than a hundred USB lamps as one of the themes of the event was for young people who were “lighted-up”. According to Johanne Lindsay, President ” It is a great pleasure to hand over our ‘’USB-Bulb-Lamp’’ to young people who want to adhere to a healthier lifestyle. Our USB lamps are unique, useful and a form of reminder that it’s important to see some light in order to move ahead and make positive changes!
